Archetype The White Witch

Well Met Travelers,

Welcome Back to another Open Legend Archetype. Last Time I made one of these, I created the Arcane Smith, a character built around the creation and use of magic items.

This week, I will be covering a character that was inspired by this post and the White Witches that lie within. Since writing that Post, I have found myself fascinated by the concept of White Witches, so I had to make this post.

A White Witch, as with all witches, draws her arcane spells through natural rituals and materials. White Witches specialize in magic of protection and healing; they shy away from damaging magic, casting damaging hexes only when it is necessary.

Statistics of the White Witch

Agility 1
Fortitude 1
Might

Persuasion
Deception
Presence 2

Learning 2
Logic
Perception
Will 3

Alteration 4
Protection 3
Prescience 4

The Agility of a White Witch is low because a White Witch spends most of its time caring for others, not exerting his or herself physically. This also explains the fortitude.

Presence is a stat that is explained by the caring nature that usually surrounds the white witch.

Learning represents the Witch's understanding of nature, herbs, and a little bit of magic.

Will is the mental discipline that the Witch has.

Alteration, protection, and prescience all reflect the different aspects of magic that a white Witch harnesses.

Feats

Extraordinary Focus- Prescience or Alteration

I was indecisive on extraordinary focus, so I decided to make it an option for any who wish to use it. I suggest a wand for alteration and a crystal ball for prescience, but that is again up for the player to decide. It represents a Witch's ability to modify her spells with various natural reagents to make the effects more potent.

Heightened Invocation synergises well with extraordinary focus, and it represents how Witches are likely to cast rituals and the negation of disadvantage is always a nice ability.

Indomitable resolve also represents the witch's strengthened mental disciplines.

Perks and Flaws

As with all of my builds, I selected two perks and a flaw. Of course, these can be altered to fit your character.

Disease Immunity

Pure-Hearted

Pacifist- Attacking only when necessary

Actions

Equipment

Wand or other magical focus

Robes

No armor

Athame- Dagger

I think that is all for this character build. As always, leave your thoughts in the comments, and if you enjoy my content, click follow in the sidebar to become a traveler.

Until Next Time,
Farewell and Safe Journeys, Travelers.
