Echos of Eldritch Major Players: Eschalus

There are many beings in the universe that have access to extraordinary power. However, very few have the ability to control everything at will as well as create and destroy as they please. You have heard the story of Echos, and how he sculpted the Planescape; he thought that he was alone and was the only one of his kind. This, however, could not be further from the truth. The universe has properties that far exceed even His knowledge.

Imagine a line. --------- This is where Echos' universe that he created lies. There are other lines that run parallel to his, parallel universes if you will. ===== They all mirror each other but have subtle differences. The main difference is the being that created each universe.

This leads me to discuss the creator of the Antediluvian parallel to the one that Echos has made.

Much like Echos, the creator of the parallel Antediluvian spent a few days creating his universe. He put his heart and soul into the planes. He was fascinated with what he could do. Once he created life, he found purpose. These mortals had so much to offer the creator. Things that even he could learn from them. Unlike Echos, the creator of this universe enjoys meddling in the affairs of mortals. Taking on different forms and interacting with various people.

He fell in love with life and dreams of seeing it flourish. Whether that's stopping a great catastrophe or preserving a dying race. He meddles with affairs whilst making them seem untouched.

He realized one day that out of all the life he has created, none compare to what he can do. The one thing he could not learn from the mortals he created, was friendship. So he began to devise ways of seeing if there were others like him. After eons of research and experiments, the creator learned to create cosmic rifts that would allow him to cross dimensions into alternate universes, which eventually led him to meet Echos, a story that will be told at a later point.

The creator, was no longer alone and saw even more purpose, life wasn't just for those he created. He too could experience life through friendship. Eschalus, was no longer alone.



To describe Eschalus' appearance would be like trying to describe the colors of mirror; it is not so easily done. Because he meddles with the affairs of mortals, he always assumes a different appearance to everyone he meets. The above image is what I believe his true form to be. It is very rare that he shows this form to anyone other than Echos. Unlike Echos, Eschalus carries a staff rather than a wand; however, the creation stories are still similar. His true form portrays a man with the appearance of 30 years of age. He has a beard and a rugged style of hair. His eyes are a deep green that provide an inviting gaze. The fact that he is almost a complete opposite from Echos shows how strong a friendship will form between them.
